Project Seahorse is a marine conservation group dedicated to securing a world where marine ecosystems are healthy and well-managed. Project Seahorse is a small team of scientists and conservationists with offices at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and the Zoological Society of London in the United Kingdom. They work all over the world, with research and conservation projects in Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia, and the Americas. The Canadian office is located at the Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries of the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Science. The Institute, previously known as the Fisheries Centre (created in the 1950s as the Institute of Fisheries) is located in the University's Aquatic Ecosystem Research Laboratory. The Project started its activities in 1994.
