Pollen Morphology: The pollen produced by this family have a circular to rounded triangular shape in polar view and are elliptical in shape in equatorial view. These grains are 20-25 grains in shape and are tricolpate. The colpi are short, straight and moderately wide. The key distinguishing feature of colpi are their ragged edges and studded with granules. The colpi ends are rounded and in line with the grain. The surface texture of these grains is microreticulate.
